Scarflette Button Wrap

Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Hdc: Half Double Crochet
Blo: Back Loop Only

Materials:
1 skein category 4 worsted weight yarn/ 170 yards (156 m)
K hook
Button – approximately 1.25’’ in diameter
Large blunt eye needle

Finished Measurements: (approx)
32’’ long
5’’ wide



This
pattern is forgiving and can be used with different yarn weights (category 4 or 5). It will differ in size just slights, so have fun experimenting with all types of weights!

Pattern:
Row 1: Ch 105, (115 for a larger version) hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each across. (103 hdc)
Rows 2-12: Ch 2, turn. Hdc through blo of first hdc and in each hdc across. (103 hdc)
Note: Ch 2 is turning chain and does not count as hdc.
Finish off, weave in ends.

Attaching Button:
(Make a closure with one button, or try two for an alternate look)
Cut a 24’’ piece of yarn and thread needle to sew button on to scarf.
Lay finished piece on flat surface and secure button. Measure approximately 12 inches from left side and secure button near the top. About 1.5 inches from top.











Sew through button holes and on to scarf a few times, leaving tails on bottom side of piece. Remove needle and knot tails of yarn to secure. Weave in ends.

Try the scarf on to ensure correct fit. No button hole is needed, just push button through stitches to fasten.

College/Pro Sports Team Baby Hat


Materials:
H Hook
Worsted Weight Yarn
Letter of favorite college or pro team.

Notes:
-Hdc in same spot as joining throughout pattern
-Sl st in top of st to join
-Increase or decrease base rows (1-6) for larger or smaller size.

Size:
3-6 Months

Pattern:

Row 1: 8 hdc in magic loop. Join with sl st in top of first hdc
Row 2: Ch1, 2 hdc in first hdc and in each hdc around (16 hdc)
Row 3:
Ch1, 2 hdc in first hdc, *1 hdc in nxt hdc, 2 hdc in nxt hdc* repeat around (24 hdc)
Row 4:
Ch1, 2 hdc in first hdc, *1 hdc in the nxt 2 hdc, 2 hdc in nxt hdc* repeat around (32 hdc)
Row 5:
Ch1, 2 hdc in first hdc, *1 hdc in the nxt 3 hdc, 2 hdc in nxt hdc* repeat around (40 hdc)
Row 6:
Ch1, 2 hdc in first hdc, *1 hdc in the nxt 4 hdc, 2 hdc in nxt hdc* repeat around (47 hdc)
Rows 7-16:
Ch1, hdc in first hdc and in each around (47 hdc)

Optional
Row 11: Change to contrasting color and hdc in each st around. Change back to main color.

Finish off, weave in ends, and sew on letter to front of hat.
